The Basics
Hey there! It feels so weird to write a quick paragraph attempting to summarize who I am. My hope is that you’ll take a look around my site and blog and maybe get a better full picture. A small recap is that I am a stay at home mom to four pretty great kids and wife to an amazing Navy man. We have lived a lot of life together over the past 13 years of marriage and have been together since our freshman year in college. The Navy has moved us all over, which has its pros and cons, but a major benefit is the closeness our family has through all of our transition. Our kids, from oldest to youngest, are about 5.5 years apart. That has definitely allowed for some major chaos at times! We have just moved back to Virginia Beach - our 10th move in 13 years - but this is the place we call home and are excited to be here. I love to work out with Barre, take care of my body and mind the best I can, decorate and move furniture all over the place all the time, and create.
For several years now, I have felt the draw toward intentional motherhood. It was always my desire to have a big family, one way or another. Our road to our four kids wasn’t a simple and straight forward one, and yet, it has only been in the last few years that I have been able to realize what an absolute honor it is to be a mother. I have found so much joy in this realization, loving the little moments, and truly knowing that the call to motherhood is deeply rooted in purpose. It is easy to forget to slow down and really see what we have been given, and to understand what a massive responsibility it is. My mission is to show others what beauty they have in this gift. Whether it is through our own life stories and inspirations on the blog or images being sent home with your family, my hope is that you do not diminish the God given role and gift of family. Living a genuine life that impacts many, seeking purpose in the everyday, diving into who God has called me and made to be, andcultivating a home I love for family and others - this is who I am and how I hope to inspire.

Every session is provided with the intent to tell a snippet of your family story. When you are a main character, it is difficult to see the whole picture. A family session will freeze the laughter, the play, the love. It slows down your moments before they evolve into the next phase. The hand squeezes, shoulder rides, twirls, and curls. We can snap a photo smiling anytime, but the in-betweens are what we want to hold on to. Whether it is through a photography session, a blog post, or a room design I share as I create a family home of love, I want you to leave feeling inspired and mission driven; to realize your own incredible opportunity and impact your character is in your life story, and then to have the constant reminder in still images for the rest of your life.
